At least there's one place in Australia where clubs get to open later

Sydney’s storied nightlife centre Kings Cross may be dying a slow and painful death under lockouts, but elsewhere in the country the party is just starting. More than 40 clubs and pubs in Brisbane’s suburbs and on the Gold Coast have put in applications to extend their trading hours after the Queensland government lifted a 2009 ban on new late-trading licenses, The Courier Mail reports.
