Promises to confine the stadium redevelopment within the SCG boundary are being broken. The SCG Trust lodged development applications to move its offices and gym, proposed for demolition as part of the redevelopment, into the Entertainment Quarter in the Byron Kennedy Hall and demountable buildings. This will affect public access and expand the impact of the stadium redevelopment onto public land.

While the applications are for four years, we know there is a push to turn this public land into an elite sports precinct and there is no public information about where these facilities will be relocated after the redevelopment. My submission opposed this piecemeal and opaque planning process that presumes planning approval for the stadium redevelopment: HERE
