Lockout keeping tourists from Mardi Gras, venues say

The state government's lockout laws are keeping tourists away from Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and have turned the city into a "laughing stock" overseas, according to venue owners around Oxford Street...

...Independent MP for Sydney Alex Greenwich said he was disappointed by the government's decision but Mardi Gras was a "resilient organisation" and the event would continue to grow.
