As the mother of two children with a disability I’m so glad that someone has raised this issue. You don’t employ the highest quality staff by exempting some from employment based on their sexuality or lack of religious ‘ethos’. I’ve had staff that worked with my children who believed in god but couldn’t care less about my children. I now access only secular providers where people are recruited for their skills, attitude and ability. I have had to strongly advocate for a secular provider and I’m concerned for the NDIS if this isn’t addressed now.

I know many people who are deeply concerned about this very issue. Thanks for raising it, Alex.
