My submission to the draft Botanic Gardens and Domain Master Plan argues the government must protect the Botanic Gardens and Domain without alienation and commercialisation. The draft provides little detail about specific proposals amidst buzz words, when a master plan should ensure these unique environs continue to provide green grass, trees, open space and a refuge for recreation to city residents, workers and visitors and contribute to botanical science.
