Affordable Housing

Affordable Housing

3 March 2015

The City of Sydney’s February street count found 365 people sleeping rough in the city’s streets, parks and public places – up 5.5 per cent on last year – but federal and state governments have reduced funds for social and affordable housing over several decades. See the counts since 2010 HERE.

It costs nearly 5 times more to buy a house or apartment today than it did 23 years ago. Rents have more than tripled, but incomes haven’t kept up. The next CityTalk Thursday 12 March 6.30pm Solving Sydney’s Housing Affordability Crisis is very timely RSVP HERE

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
