After meeting with the Millers Point Community Resident Action Group, Lord Mayor Clover Moore and I have written to the Minister for Energy and Environment asking for an air quality monitoring station at Circular Quay to collect data associated with cruise ship emissions. This is now a densely populated residential area with the Barangaroo redevelopment bringing more residents to the precinct and a large number of people can be affected by cruise ship pollution > HERE.

I’ve called for shore power for ships berthing in the harbour to prevent the need for engines to be kept running at all times.
