With the Rights of the Terminally Ill Bill to be debated in the Upper House on Thursday, it is essential that you urgently ask members to support the bill. Debate so far is not promising. You can contact members HERE.

Cancer impacts people across the community and I’m hosting an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in my Electorate Office at 11am Friday to raise funds and awareness. Call Leanne in my office to RSVP or find another morning tea to attend HERE.   Donate HERE.I’m pleased to report positive feedback about anti-social behaviour in Potts Point following my representations and meeting with the Acting Kings Cross Commander last week. It is vital that residents report incidents for police action, phone 8356 0099. Hear reports from the Acting Commander at the June policing community meetings – contact Crime Prevention Office Sara Andrews for details, phone 8356 0092.

Gay Bishop welcomed to Parliament

On Friday evening, I will welcome Bishop Gene Robinson to Sydney for his public speech “Straight Talk about Same Sex Marriage”. The openly gay former Bishop of New Hampshire USA led reform of his church to become inclusive of LGBTI community members at all levels. There is a screening of “Love Free or Die” the documentary about the church reform on Wednesday evening. Thanks to Paddington Uniting Church! Details at www.paddingtonuca.org.au

Have a great week

PS. Keep the evening of Tuesday 4 June free. I will be hosting a forum on the Government’s Planning White Paper and draft bills.
