The Committee on Environment and Planning which I chair is holding an inquiry into a Labor private members bill on the regulation and accreditation of engineers.

There has been widespread concern that engineers in the building industry are not properly regulated and this is contributing to the defects crisis. We will look at the best way to regulate and monitor engineers and other building industry professions. Submissions are open till 30 January and I’m keen to hear community views. Details: HERE
