My submission opposes the proposed Crown Hotel Resort on Barangaroo South’s waterfront. The tower will prevent views, vistas and integration across the site, overshadow public space and create wind tunnels. Its location is nothing more than a private grab for public land. The 610 private parking spaces proposed – 500 for the ‘high roller’ casino and 110 for the 66 residential apartments – are a recipe for traffic mayhem in an area to be well serviced by public transport and within easy walking and cycling distance to jobs and services.
 
Detailed design went on exhibition before the concept plan modification to relocate and increase the height of the tower has even been approved – approval is clearly considered a done deal. My submission is HERE
