The Legislative Council Select Committee on Barangaroo sight lines vindicated community outcry that Modification 9 would have overdeveloped Central Barangaroo to the detriment of the public, our harbour, heritage and good planning principles.

Our iconic harbour deserves more than shady deals behind closed doors selling off views and sight lines to the highest bidder. We need planning that puts people and place first and I welcome the committee findings. Now is the time to genuinely consult with community on the best public outcome for Central Barangaroo in line with the original concept of a cultural and civic precinct.
