Council Elections

Council Elections

This year’s council elections on 4 December will be quite different, with changes in response to the pandemic. General information > HERE

The Electoral Commission will impose COVID-safe measures in polling places that will slow the voting process. This includes restricted access, distancing, face masks, check-ins, extra cleaning and BYO pen > HERE. Sydney Town Hall will not be a polling place for this election and if voting in person, you will have to vote in your council area.

However, access to postal, online and early voting will be expanded. Any voter on the non-residential roll for council elections is eligible for postal or iVote. You can register for online voting through iVote from 22 November > HERE. Or you can request a postal vote, though this is more complicated > HERE.

Early voting and polling places for the City of Sydney HERE. Early voting and polling places for Woollahra Municipal Council > HERE.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
