The Coroner’s decision to hold a third inquest into the death of Scott Johnson vindicates the Johnson family’s long campaign for proper investigation, and reinforces the need for review of the police investigation of what could be around 70 gay hate murders from the 1980s and 1990s. I’ve been calling for full investigation of these cases and an independent police oversight body with the resources to investigate systemic problems. See Nicolas Parkhill’s oped HERE.
