Disability Advocacy Review

Disability Advocacy Review

(Update, Monday 23 September 2019)

The NSW Government is reviewing arrangements for independent disability advocacy services, including funding, which has been at risk since the states transferred responsibility for disability support to the Commonwealth under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). It is essential that people with disability have access to independent information and support to negotiate their needs through the NDIS.

I encourage you to make sure the government continues to fund independent information and advocacy for people with disability, particularly if you have had experience with an advocate helping you navigate the NDIS. Comment is due Friday 18 October: HERE

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
