Domestic and Family Violence Services

Domestic and Family Violence Services

The return to widespread lockdowns across NSW has already had significant impact with nearly three quarters of specialist domestic violence services reporting increased demand, pressures and complexities with supporting women and children escaping violence under these conditions. Like last year, services expect to see a sharp increase in survivors seeking help once lockdowns begin to lift.

I have asked the Attorney General to fund an emergency COVID-19 support package and provide long-term, sustainable funding for specialist domestic and family violence services > HERE. I support Domestic Violence NSW’s 13 recommendations for a whole-of-government plan to meet increased demand for domestic and family violence services > HERE.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
