Eastern Suburbs High
The government will start consulting with eastern suburbs families about improving local public high school options in response to a request I made together with the Member for Wentworth Allegra Spender and the Woollahra Mayor Susan Wynne for a new school
In our meeting with the education minister last week, the minister outlined that the planned consultation would cover new options with existing schools. See the Herald report on our meeting > HERE.
While a new school is not on the table now, a similar process led to the Inner City High School and the government will only consider a new eastern suburbs school with the data to support the investment. Parents will be contacted through schools and childcare.
Community group CLOSEast, which is advocating for a new high school in the east is also running its own survey of parents and carers to determine the factors that contribute selecting a school and gather views of existing options. I encourage parents to participate > HERE and link up with CLOSEast HERE.
