I’ve asked the NSW Auditor General to review NSW Government grants processes to standardise measures to improve transparency, integrity and accountability across all agencies and programs. Evidence on the $250 million Stronger Communities Fund grants for sports facilities and programs shows that funding criteria were altered after applications closed, that some councils were allocated funds without an application, and that grant determinations were biased towards government-held electorates in the lead-up to an election.

There should be standard processes across all agencies and grants, with clear public reporting on allocations and assessment to demonstrate integrity and ethical decision making. My letter > HERE.
