My submission opposed the proposed rezoning of the former Sydney Fish Market, arguing that the development is too big, too dense and too close to the harbour, with the wrong commercial and housing mix.

There must be at least 20 per cent social and affordable housing in the residential component and the plan must identify the local infrastructure that will be required.

Redevelopment of this iconic site should focus on creating jobs and a world-class precinct that will attract visitors and investment. The proposal is second-rate and planning needs to recommence.
