The government has proposed changes to footpaths, bus stops, cycleways, on-street parking and loading zones in the city centre. There are about 1,000 pages of material covering the proposals! Widespread concerns have been expressed about reducing footpaths, creating extra traffic lanes and removing pedestrian crossings in order to “improve the road user experience for traffic”.
