I’ve been contacted by many constituents upset about losing the Green Park Hotel as a local venue and have asked St. Vincent’s Hospital to preserve it as a local pub. The Green Park has been a safe, accepting and fun space for LGBTQI+ communities as well as locals. St Vincent’s has a long history of support, care and services to LGBTQI+ communities, from the HIV/AIDS crisis to the many services and programs provided today. While the proposed mental health and community centre will provide significant community benefit, there are many local vacant shopfronts that could be used. My letter: > HERE.
