Last week I joined family and community services minister for the regular City of Sydney rough sleeper Street Count.

The late night count identifies where rough sleepers are so support services can be directed there, and tracks the government’s progress towards the goal of ending street sleeping. I’ll continue to advocate for more resources for low cost housing. Support the national campaign for action on the housing crisis > HERE.  

In Parliament I commended the work of peak body Homelessness NSW for their well-earned leadership and education awards > HERE. I also thanked Lou’s Place and the Marmalade Foundation for their vital work as Sydney’s only daytime women's refuge, including former CEO Nicole Yade > HERE.
