The Minister for Family and Community has responded to our serious concerns about funding cuts to inner city homelessness services under Going Home, Staying Home reforms. Sadly, longstanding women’s refuges with good track records are defunded, and the Service Support Fund for de-funded organisations has problems – they lose their building and will have to go through yet another tender process for urgent transition funds.
