Agencies set up to investigate decision makers should not face the threat of budget cuts by those decision makers they could be investigating. With my Independent colleagues, we wrote to the Premier to guarantee recurrent budgets with indexation to protect the independence of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), the NSW Electoral Commission, the NSW Ombudsman and the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC).
