A number of people have contacted me about the number of visible homeless people in city parks and streets. Latest data from the City of Sydney Street Count shows more people on the streets now than since the count in February 2011. Hostel beds were at 96 per cent capacity. Reports on the counts are HERE.
 
Commonwealth and State governments need to work together to tackle this increasing concern. I continue calling for increased resources for homelessness support services, and you can download and sign my petition HERE.
