There is a tragic history of Aboriginal children taken from family and culture. We must continue to work to keep families together.

The ‘Family Matters Report’ showed 40 per cent of children in out-of-home care in NSW are Aboriginal, despite only 5 per cent of children being Aboriginal. I’ve again asked the minister for action to reduce the number of First Nations kids in care. Action is also needed in other key areas including housing, health, education and justice.
