LGBTQA+ people are at greater risk of suicidal behaviours, as well as poor mental health outcomes, due to stigma, discrimination and marginalisation. Ongoing research seeks to understand how new and existing data can be understood on the basis of location (e.g. at a state or territory level), within intersectional experiences and in relation to a range of social determinants.
