Lou's Place

Lou's Place is Sydney's only daytime refuge for women, accessible to anyone over the age of 18 who identifies as a woman (trans-inclusive).

 

Lou's Place offers free breakfast (8:30am - 9:30am) and lunch (12:30pm) Monday through Friday, as well as free laundry and shower facilities. Lou's Place can also provide emergency clothing, toiletries, and frozen meals. They have therapeutic activities available daily that help women build confidence, develop life skills, and connect with one another through classes such as creative writing, yoga, mindfulness, sewing, art, jewellery-making and more.

 

Their professional services include crisis intervention, case management, referrals, free legal advice, support and advocacy. Lou's Place also offers therapeutic and educational programs for women who have children or grandchildren in out-of-home care and for women who have experienced or are experiencing DFV.
