The government has now reported on its review of the historic civic Macquarie Street East Precinct with directions for renewal. Recommendations include designating it as a cultural precinct centred on the Registrar General’s building, showcasing Indigenous history and new use for the Chief Secretary’s Building. Macquarie Street East is a beautiful area with rich history adjacent to both the buzzing CBD and parklands and I welcome action to rejuvenate the area: > HERE.
