I recognise the positive impact that the Governor-General's recent comments about marriage have had on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex community.

The Governor-General shared her vision that Australia should be a country where people are free to love and marry whom they choose. That has provided an important affirmation of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex community's identity, sexuality and loving and committed relationships.
