Our thoughts today are with the hostages taken in Martin Place and their families and friends, following the tragic deaths, injuries, and trauma. We have been saddened and shaken, and are grateful for the police and emergency service professionals for the rapid response

Sydneysiders are a resilient bunch and it is important we do not let this tragic and scary incident diminish the multi-cultural and multi-faith community that provides Sydney with such great strength.
