Millers Pt/Dawes Pt Heritage

The heritage features of Millers Point and Dawes Point are special and many residents are keen to protect and maintain them.

The Heritage Council of NSW and the City of Sydney are holding a workshop to build a common community vision at the Abraham Mott Hall Tuesday 18 May 6-8pm: > HERE.

Meanwhile, the NSW government has published a discussion paper for a review of the Heritage Act 1977 and the Parliament’s Standing Committee on Social Issues will hold an inquiry on the act. The proposed changes include new heritage categories, greater adaptive use ‘activation’ of heritage items, grants and tax incentives to maintain heritage items and a streamlined process – all of which have risks and opportunities. The discussion paper: > HERE.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
