There have been multiple cases of Mpox detected in the state in July and NSW Health has issued a warning. Mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, spreads through close physical contact. The Australian Government recommends that groups at risk of exposure get vaccinated including GBMSM and sex workers as well as some healthcare workers.
