In Parliament I congratulated the Kings Cross Medically Supervised Injecting Centre on 21 years of service to the community.

Three independent evaluations showed the MSIC has saved lives with no deaths or serious injury, successfully managing 11,000 overdoses, and referring thousands to drug and mental health treatment. Ambulance callouts and hospital emergency visits dropped dramatically, along with syringes in public places. My statement > HERE.
