I congratulate 13YARN on receiving a Suicide Prevention Australia Nation LiFE Award. 13YARN is entirely staffed by First Nations people, designed and created in consultation with community. 13YARN trains only First Nations staff to carry out support and encourage engagement in a culturally safe and appropriate manner. 13YARN is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides cultural connection, education and understanding back into Lifeline Australia. As of 15 Dec 2023, 13YARN has responded to 41,132 calls. I congratulate 13YARN for this award and thank them for this important lifesaving work.
