More than 90 per cent of Australians want the law to protect farmed animals from cruel conditions, but progress on reform has been very slow.

The national Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines for Poultry are being reviewed, with a proposal to phase out battery cages for egg laying hens between 2032 and 2036. I’ve asked the NSW minister to support this phase-out with his other Australian counterparts and to push for an earlier phase out of cruel battery cages. My letter: > HERE
