Oxford Street was a thriving hub for fun, live entertainment and LGBTIQ+ communities, but has been doing it tough from changes in shopping patterns, lockouts, lockdowns and restrictions with many of our much loved venues  now struggling. 

We’ve seen some great innovation from Oxford Street business with seated COVID-safe events and virtual events like Stonewall Live. I will continue to advocate to government for support during the pandemic.  

The City of Sydney is looking at how to strengthen Oxford Street arts and creative industries, with a review of planning rules to support more cultural, creative, entertainment and late-night activities.
