I’ve received a reply to my representations about plans for the former Paddington Bowling Club site in Quarry Street. The Department of Industry – Crown Lands has not given owner’s consent for a development application and no DA is allowed until approval is given. The Executive Director says that the department will not allow any change to the lease conditions which require the land to be used for ‘community and sporting club facilities, tourist facilities and services’.
