COVID-19 is not over. It’s important that we don’t undo the efforts made so far and I encourage everyone to maintain hygiene and distancing to help stop the spread of the virus. The border with Victoria is closed and there are new isolation rules for anyone returning from that state. Testing will be crucial to knowing whether any virus has spread into NSW from Victoria making it essential that anyone with symptoms have a test HERE.

Following the distressing situation for many social housing tenants in Victoria, I have asked the minister and responsible agencies to make sure the government is ready to detect any virus in Sydney social housing early to reduce the chance of an outbreak.
