My submission on the proposed umbrella Greater Sydney Parklands to act as trust for all Sydney parklands calls for stronger safeguards against commercialisation and alienation, condemns self-funding models for public open space, and recommends that the trust’s objectives include expanding the parklands estate. I again argued for stronger connections with local communities who use the parklands covered.
