The government has released new regulations that determine when strata owners corporations can ban pets in apartments.

Earlier this year, in negotiation with the minister and Emma Hurst from the Animal Justice Party, I successfully moved amendments to restrict pet bans to circumstances when a pet unreasonably interferes with another resident’s use and enjoyment of their home or common property. The regulations clearly identify these limited circumstances and remove blanket bans > HERE.
