Pilliga Fracking

Pilliga Fracking

The Independent Planning Commission approved the controversial gas project, paving the way for hundreds of more destructive coal seam fracturing wells in the biodiverse rich Pilliga state forest. There is little evidence that the project will reduce local gas prices and I am concerned that the impact of planned brine injections on water have not been properly assessed. Expanding gas projects at this time will only entrench unsustainable climate change and an economy susceptible to global market shocks. My latest questions in Parliament about the project: HERE. We must keep speaking out and opposing these destructive projects and policies.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
