I cannot support the government’s proposed sale of poles and wires. There is scant information on the proposal, and I am concerned that the sale could lock NSW into an energy future dominated by coal through contract conditions and government policies, and that excessive price rises could occur. 

While I agree that the state needs funding for new infrastructure, especially an inner city high school and second harbour rail crossing, most of the proceeds will be reinvested in roads, which would be detrimental to our future.
