On behalf of the Sydney electorate, I acknowledge the exceptional work of ACON's Pride in Diversity program over 10 years. Pride in Diversity is a non-profit employer support program for LGBTQ workplace inclusion specialising in HR, organisational change and workplace diversity. Pride in Diversity publishes the Australian Workplace Equality Index, Australia's national benchmark for LGBTQ workplace inclusion which allows the community to assess inclusive employers and identifies Top LGBTQ Employers. I've attended employer events organised with Pride in Diversity and seen the impact on workers who know they can be themselves at work and not face discrimination or abuse. This cultural change is vital in the campaign for equality and it is inspiring see these changes being made across more and more employers. Thank you to Pride in Diversity for this important work and the commitment to change that improves productivity as well as fairness. This work helps makes Australia a more inclusive and safer space for all!
