Pyrmont Transport

My recent meeting with the transport minister’s office and Transport for NSW secured new commitments to continue looking at options to improve public transport in Pyrmont.

The 389 does not service the west part of the CBD with patrons forced to walk long distances – if they can. In the past, Transport for NSW has rejected a 389 bus stop on York Street because of congestion from other bus services but officers agreed to consider my suggestions to move other bus services to other bus stops or to limit the 389’s use of the York Street stop to off-peak periods. Transport for NSW also promised to consider an additional stop in Pyrmont for the service, which it acknowledged was needed, as well as a ferry service.
