Free Event: Creating the Australian Constitution

You're invited to a free public event at the Parliament; one of the very spots the Australian Constitution was drafted:  View the draft Australian Constitution at the NSW State Library at 5pm;Hear from Professor Anne Twomey, Professor of Constitutional Law & Director, Constitutional Reform Unit, University of Sydney Law School at 6pm;
  • Find out how a collection of six British colonies, under the law-making power of the British Parliament became the Commonwealth of Australia;
  • Visit the historic Legislative Assembly Chamber of the NSW Parliament where one of the Constitutional Conventions that drafted the Australian Constitution, was held (optional - time permitting);

    When: Tuesday 6 August 2019  5:00 pm to 7.00pm

    Where: Registration 4:45pm at the NSW Parliament (security area at Parliament's Macquarie Street entrance)
