Redistribution Response
My response to submissions for state electoral boundary changes opposed suggestions to split both the Paddington suburb and the Kings Cross locality between two electorates. I further argued for the unification of the Surry Hills, Edgecliff and Woollahra suburbs. Splitting suburbs and localities creates confusion among residents over their representation and can reduce the capacity for an electorate to cohesively reflect what the law refers to as a “community of interests”: HERE.
