The community expects better from this House and deserves better. We must ensure that we do not use the time of the House to distract from the issues we should be dealing with. I am informed that there is no standing order that gives the Speaker discretion to force the Minister to withdraw his comments. It would be a different situation if such a standing order existed. I believe that this motion is a waste of Parliament's time. As I said, the community expects better and deserves better.
