The government is proceeding with removal of the College Street cycleway, without a clear alternative safe north-south route for cyclists in the CBD. The Castlereagh Street cycleway is to stop halfway. The government required the City of Sydney to use College Street, and I’ve asked the NSW Auditor General to review this waste of funds and effort when there is such limited money spent on cycling infrastructure.
