SCEGGS Darlinghurst is an important education institution and has released a concept plan to upgrade buildings and facilities. Unfortunately the plans include demolition of the 1928 heritage listed Wilkinson House on Forbes Street and my submission argues the building should be retained with renovations to adapt it for education purposes. I also asked for a new traffic plan that would see St Peter’s Street reopened permanently and for a reduction in bulk and scale of the seven-storey Multipurpose Building to prevent overshadowing of Thomson Street homes.
