Community campaigns and our advocacy has helped get action on shore to ship power at Glebe Island.

The Port Authority will develop a world first landside electricity supply for cruise and bulk ships at the Bays Port precinct, powered by renewable energy, with launch planned for 2024 > HERE.

This is a great first step to reducing noise and air pollution. The government has not committed to installing shore power at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
